The BOBA USA community gathered virtually for its highly anticipated monthly Town Hall General Assembly on November 17, 2024. This session served as a cornerstone for strategic updates, community recognition, and collaborative planning for the future.

Warm Welcome and Opening Ceremonies

President Emmanuel Gagni Nyasa set a positive tone with a heartfelt welcome, followed by an inspiring opening prayer from Pastor Ernest Nchamukong. The Assembly was further energized by Secretary General Mrs. Queen Naah Doh’s stirring rendition of the anthem, igniting unity and pride among members.

Seamless Adoption of Agenda

The meeting’s agenda, crucial for ensuring a focused discussion, was swiftly adopted—thanks to a motion by Dr. Mathew Akoko and a second from Lt. Colonel George Mugri. This smooth process reflected BOBA USA’s commitment to transparent and efficient governance.

Foundation Overview: Vision, Donors, and Key Accounts

Dr. George Jing provided an insightful overview of the BOBA USA Foundation, emphasizing its mission to empower the community through education and service. He expressed gratitude to generous donors, including:

  • Dr. George Jing

  • Eric Igwacho

  • Kenneth Ndeh

Dr. Jing also detailed the Foundation’s financial accounts:

A focal point of discussion was the need for a resident agent and official office address to bolster organizational continuity. Dr. Jing addressed member questions, reiterating the Foundation’s dedication to strong, transparent governance.

Trustee Updates and Financial Oversight

Chapter Presidents submitted their Trustees’ names during the meeting, reinforcing leadership succession. The National Treasurer reaffirmed the organization’s focus on accountability and transparent financial stewardship.
